Travel restrictions in Portugal from 30 October to 3 NovemberRaul Santos
Resolution no. 89-A/2020 of the Portuguese Council of Ministers, which restricts citizens from travelling outside of their municipality of habitual residence between 00:01 on the morning of October 30 and 06:00 on the morning of November 3 2020, does not apply to “travel for the purpose of professional activity or equivalent” or “students travelling to higher learning institutions”, among other exemptions.
While it remains unclear whether workers or students of higher education will be required to present any form of documentation in order to justify travel to their faculty, the University of Porto has nonetheless created an automatic system for the issuing of declarations that can be used by all the university’s workers and students.
The declaration will be available for download on your personal page of SIGARRA:
- For workers, it is already available through the menu “Human Resources” (submenu “Declarations”) in the sidebar on the right-hand side of the page.
- For students, it will be available from 29 October, by clicking on the course in which you are enrolled to find the menu “Declarations” at the bottom of the right sidebar of the page.
